Towards a Manifesto

This has been two months in the making. I sat down one day, and decided to write down everything I know. If you define “to know” as to be able to prove with absolute certainty, then I “know” nothing. By “to know” I mean, act to as though thoroughly convinced, although I am unable to prove or say with absolute certainty.

Herein I set out to establish what I “know,” absolutely and in relation to my history. Oh mercy.

  1. God is love.
  2. Everything that exists is an expression of God.
  3. God’s spirit dwells in all.

That’s it. I hope I didn’t overstep.

  1. I hate to put Descartes before the Horus, but you forgot “I think, therefore I am.”

  2. Hmm. Yes, perhaps you’re right. I’m pretty convinced that I exist. But maybe that’s obvious. I mean, it’s obvious to me. That’s why I skipped it.

    Attention! World: I am.

  3. World: We can’t hear you because you haven’t proven that we exist. Sorry.

  4. Dear World,
Sorry for not proving you exist, although I firmly believe in your existence. I will offer you this as consolation: for the sake of progress and sanity, I am going to assume that you exist according to my senses’ ability to perceive you. This assumption can be inferred from point #2. If everything that exists is an expression of God, then “Everything that exists” must exist. Hopefully you can follow that logic.

  5. World: Well, that’s a relief. We can all stop pinching ourselves now.
